Maria Venus Raj stripped out of BInibining Pilipinas Universe Crown

Binibining Pilipinas Universe Maria Venus Raj will not anymore represent the country in the upcoming Ms. Universe Pageant after she was stripped of her crown and title. The decision was made due to some factual inconsistencies on her birth certificate. The Bicol-native Raj will be replaced by Binibining Pilipinas runner-up Helen Nicolette Henson, who will now assume the responsibilities of the Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2010.

Is Alexander Lee Eusebio of U-Kiss a Filipino?

Eusebio, doesn’t it sound like a Filipino last name? Here I go again, I’m crazy searching the web about Alexander Lee Eusebio, I’m just curious if this guy has a Filipino blood running through his veins. Seeing the new Korean boy band group at Party Pilipinas yesterday, I was really caught by the peculiarity of Alex, I mean he doesn’t look like a pure Korean guy, it seems that he’s from a mixture of races and aside from his last name his nose also gave me the idea that maybe he is part Pinoy.
Here’s the details I got from Wikipedia and Soompi Forum
Full Name: Alexander Lee Eusebio
Height: 181 cm
Weight: 63kg (139 lbs)
Date of Birth: July 29, 1988 (age 21)
Religion: Christian
Bloodtype: O
Alexander speaks 7 different languages at varying degrees, which he has showcased on many occasions: Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin Chinese), Korean and English. He was born in Hong Kong and was raised in Macau.
He Studied in America and is from De Anza College, California.
Hey before I proceed to the thing, let me just applaud this guy. Hey hey hey, he speaks 7 different languages, it’s awesome.
Going back to the matter, I can’t find any  detailed answer with regards to my question. Anyways if you know some sources please help me find the answer.
Here’s some pictures and maybe it’ll help (He looks like John Lloyd Cruz)

So what do you think?  Honestly he looks like a younger version of  Lloydi. Here i've made a comparison.

American Idol 9’s Update: End of the Road for Paige Miles

Paige Miles is out of AI after getting the lowest percentage of votes.  The result though is not a shocker anymore Paige’s performance last night. I am already expecting her or Tim Urban to be voted out. She wasn’t given any chance by the judges to sing the song of her choice during the elimination, "Regardless of your singing, we're not going to save you. You're going home tonight; we're not going to give you false hope. This isn't working." Simon said.
Joining Page Miles in the bottom group are Tim Urban and Katie Stevens. Well if it’s Tim Urban alone that’s fine with me, but Katie? What the hell are they thinking? She performed well, far better than Tim Urban.

American Idol Top 11 Performances: Flying Colors for Aaron, Siobhan, Lee, Flying Boos for Paige and Tim Urban

The idols are now down to 11 after Lacey Brown’s elimination last week. The hopefuls continued their battles as they performed yesterday night and a day after their performances we need to give justice to whom it is due and let America decide who will still continue and who needs to go.
Here’s a recap of their performances.
*Lee Dewyze – “The Letter” by The Box Tops
*Aaron Kelly – “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith
*Casey James - “Power of Love” by Huey Lewis and The News
*Michael Lynche – “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge
*Katie Stevens – “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by Fergie
*Tim Urban – “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen
*Andrew Garcia – “Heard it Through the Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye
*Paige Miles – “Against All Odds (Take a Look at me Now)” by Phil Collins
*Crystal Bowersox – “Bobby McGee” by Janis Joplin
*Didi Benami – “You’re No Good” by Linda Ronstadt
*Siobhan Magnus – “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder

Well based on their performances I must applaud 3 persons
1.       Aaron Kelly-though he’s the youngest among the idols, his voice is just beyond the expected, I mean this guy is absolutely amazing. Randy said that it wasn’t the perfect performance but he loves the way how Aaron sang the first verse. As usual E is always a fan of Aaron.  I must agree with what Kara, she said that it’s the best song choice of the night and that Aaron already knows how to pick songs. What I love with him is his stage presence, once his there, he owns it. I cannot blame Simon for branding him as the “little Tyler”
2.       Siobhan Magnus-she is so unique, she doesn’t care about what will other people think about her and I guess that’s the same reason why randy loves her very much. This week I was once again amazed with what she did to the last part of the song. She’s a singing monster but that’s in a positive way. I wish to see her in a very different aura next week; I want her to make a slow song. Ellen wants to ask for more, same with me but as what I said, I want to see her different.
3.       Lee Dewyze- Lee is growing up so fast, as what Kara said the improvements are tremendous. Ellen said “My favorite pen is back”, sometimes I appreciate Ellen for doing some humorous analogy. Lee just raised the bar for himself and I’m watching over him, he has a lot of potential.

Below are the Idols who truly deserve a Big Boo.
1.       Paige Miles-I guess there’s nothing wrong with the song choice, I ‘m a big fan of “against all odds” but it’s just disgusting to hear Paige singing the song. It was really terrible to the nth power. Kara said that it looks like Paige has stopped competing.
2.       Tim Urban-Corny, corny, corny, forgive me guys but he’s really corny. What I hate is that he pretends to be someone who is already famous, reaching for the hands of the audience, OMG. Worst than Paige.

Honestly speaking I don’t want Miley to be the Idol’s mentor, her tips are very elementary, the basic and nothing but the basic tips. Even a 6 years old knows can give such huh. Look what happened to Andrew, Miley told him to put down his guitar and look what happened, disaster.
Lets see who’s going home tonight. I just hope that there will be no shocker anymore, I don’t want to see another Lilly Scott leaving.

The Anti Super Junior Blog: A Fruit of Insecurity

Try searching the word Super Junior in your browser and on the 2nd or 3rd page I guess you’ll find these words “The First International Anti-Super Junior Blog”. Well I’m not shocked seeing this kind of blogs amidst the success of the boy band.
What do you think are the posts all about? Of course what do you expect with that kind of Title? The posts are all against Super Junior. If you want to check how insecure the owner of this blog is, click the link on this words “The Super Junior Insecurity Blog”.

Bye Bye Keitai, I need to let you go

Nokia, Samsung, LG and Sony Ericson, they are the most common names in the mobile phone industry today and I’m quite sure that you are very familiar with them. Have you experienced using any other phone brands aside from the giants I have mentioned?
I am using a different cell phone brand and I’m proud to say that it makes me feel different. Have you ever heard about the word “Keitai”, this is the word used by Japanese for their mobile phones which means portable telephones. I’m not a Jap but I’m also a Keitai user.
I got this phone last year and it is manufactured in Japan by Toshiba.
Here are some of the features of my Keitai.
* made by Toshiba

*slider form factor

* 3 inch WVGA (800×480) REGZA display (branded like their LCD TVs)

* GPS
*3.2 mega pixel camera

* A2DP

* W-CDMA /HSDPA 3.6 Mbps

*measures 51х113х18.6 mm

* weighs 141 grams

*microSD support

*IrDA
*Bluetooth

*built in office and pdf support

*secondary CMOS VGA camera for video calls

*One SEG TV

I was once a Nokia user but I just love my phone today that I just don’t want to let it go. My brother is asking for it. I bought him a phone last year, an alcatel V70 lava phone but he accidentally put the phone on a watery place damaging the screen, how sad for me.
I’m using my Keitai for how many months and I just don’t want to lose it but of course I need to indulge to the favor of my brother.
I will need to save money in order to buy a new phone for myself, and yeah i will really miss it.
Here's some of the pictures i have taken using the camera of my 920t. I love the shot its very sharp.

This is my dog, cloud

Charice Pempenco - Detroned Britney Spears as the Pop Princess

I was busy posting news on the Legazpi City Thread on Skyscrapercity when I was caught by a news on the online site of the local radio station Bomboradyo.com with this shocking headline “Charice, 'di makapaniwalang kapalit ni Britney Spears bilang 'pop princess'’. Here’s the translation “Charice, still could not believe her being the newest Pop Princess”
Here’s the original post from NYPOST

From a remixed Lady GaGa to a newly crowned pop princess known as Charice, this week's fave five will have your bottom uncontrollably shimmying out of your kilt.
Starting off the bunch is a song from Psapp -- made famous for singing the "Grey's Anatomy" theme song -- with an older track that has found major resurgence on my playlist lately. Layering up the middle of the five are songs by Lady Gaga (an Electrolightz remix), Gin Wigmore and Matisse, three young ladies that cause me to strut a little too hard on the subway platform as of late. And finally a new little chick by the name of Charice, who's mountain-and-valley vocals (that means range kids) are the only reason you will need to fall in love with her sound.

Give all five a listen, and make sure to keep your lucky charms in check during tonight's St. Patty's festivities. Ya' hurd!

On an interview Charice said that “Super happy po ako. New York Post is really BIG. And really happy na ako yung napili nila na i-crown as New Pop Princess, although there's a lot of teen artists po talaga dito sa Amerika na magaling po talagang pop singers,"
Here’s Charice with Iyaz in Pyramid

And here’s the MP3

Lacey Brown is out of A.I. (It must be Tim Urban)

As Expected Lacey Brown is out of the competition, actually she performed well but that isn’t enough to ask for America’s sweet vote. During the past elimination rounds Lacey was on that so called “danger zone”. She’s always with the bottom group. To be fair with Lacey I’d rather vote out Tim Urban first, but I cannot blame the people for voting lacey out.
Siobhan together with Crystal, Michael, Casey , Didi, Lee and Aaron Kelly emerged as the favorites while Paige, Andrew and yeah Tim Urban was the bottom group.

American Idol Season 9 Top 12: Applauses for Didi Benami, Siobhan Magnus, Crystal Bowersox, and Aaron Kelly. A Big Boo for Tim Urban

The time has come for the idols to perform again in a bigger stage and a larger crowd. Yesterday night, the 12 contestants who survived last week’s judgment showed off their singing prowess and of course they need to convince not only the judges but also America that they are the righteous one to be hailed the next American Idol.
Of all the performances, I must say that this one is their best performance yet, it’s the pressure that pushes them to perform better week after week. I’m not saying that I was satisfied by them all, only a few and I will repeat it again, not all but only a few.
Thank god, AI was able to come up with the idea of giving the audiences the chance of having a glimpse of the contestants’ life at home.
This week American Idol gives tribute to the world’s best rock band, The Rolling Stones. So, who among the twelve satisfied me? Hmmm. Before I answer that, let’s have first a recap of their performances.
American Idol Season 9, Top 12 Performances (with the slice of comments from the judges)
Michael Lynche -  “Miss You”
Randy-(I must say that he’s the hardest to please judge among the 4)
“Dawg you slayed it. Way to start the show.”
Ellen-(She’s really funny though she doesn’t know any line aside from “your great” I thought it was awesome”, “I liked your performance” LOL)
"At some point I'm going to be disappointed, but not yet.
Kara DioGuardi-(the hand movements are all the same week after week. Haha)
"Being hot on stage - you did that."
Simon Cowell – (he’s really crazy. Period)
"corny" and "a tiny bit desperate".

Didi Benami – “Play with Fire”
Randy Jackson – (thanks randy for favoring my idol, mwah)
"That was one of your best performances. You're on fire."
Ellen – (I told you, she’s going to use the word again)
"I thought that was great"
Kara – (Since the start of Season 9, I know that she likes my DIDI)
"What I liked tonight that I saw was an intensity. Both weeks you're moving toward who you are as an artist."
Simon – (I told you simon, you’re going to like her)
"I thought you were going to loose it 30 seconds in, twice. Solid, not brilliant performance."
Casey James - "It's All Over Now"
Randy – (Hmmm, you’re liking him)
"You're back to the Casey I love. I loved it - you are back."
Ellen – (the same old line)
"fantastic".
Kara – (She like Casey)
“last week you were trying to be a rockstar but this week you are really a rockstar”
Simon – (I think he likes Kara)
"You sang it well. For me, that was like an audition performance. But you've got to push yourself. Not just a guy standing there with a guitar. Just be a star."
Lacey Brown - "Ruby Tuesday"
Randy – (I’m tired of giving comments to judges. bla)
"Definitely very interesting arrangement. I actually was pleasantly surprised."
Ellen
"little bit sleepy"
Kara
"It was 50-50 for me."
Simon
“Use the stage, doing the same thing week after week”
Andrew Garcia - "Gimme Shelter"
Randy
"You know I love you, but it was just pitchy everywhere, it wasn't great."
Ellen-(here we go again the same old line)
“I thought that was your best performance yet”
Kara
“I’m not feeling the song, but I do like you”
Simon
“Your good but you’re lacking the connection”
Katie Stevens - "Wild Horses"
Randy
“You sing the Ballad well”
Ellen
“sounds amazing”
Kara
“Not technically perfect, but better than last week”
Simon
“pretty much connected with the song”
Tim Urban - "Under My Thumb"
Lee Hee Hyo– (I’m not one of the judges but let me give my fair share, the song was good but the singing was terrible.)
Randy – (I know you will agree with me randy man)
"I didn't get that, dude. It didn't serve you or the song well."
Ellen
"I felt like I was at a resort drinking a pina colada. It just didn't wow me."
Kara
“I appreciate the effort but it just didn’t work out”
Simon
"A lot of people who are Rolling Stones fans are turning their television off at this point."
Siobhan Magnus  "Paint It Black"
Randy
Bringin' the drama to Season 9. That was hot!"
Ellen
“I like the way you look, I like you”
Kara
"It was the standout performance of the night,"
Simon
Some are going to hate it, some are going to love it - that's a good place to be. It's better than being boring,"
Lee Dewyze "Beast of Burden"
Randy
“you sounds like between Rob Thomas and Dave Matthews” "Dude I thought it was dope, one of your better performances."
Ellen
(I wasn’t able to take a note on that, sorry)
Kara
"You are growing better with every week. Tremendous growth."
Simon
“I love your vocal but I hate the fact that you lack personality”
Paige Miles "Honky Tonk Woman"
Randy said she did it alright
Ellen
“I thought you sounded great although you are struggling with your voice”
Kara
“your back”
Simon said that it was old-fashioned and told her to bring the big voice that they loved during the Hollywood week
Aaron Kelly “Angie”
Randy said that he likes that tender moments and thought that it was hot
Ellen
“It’s the right song of choice” and said that Aaron was trying to copy her hairstyle”
Kara
Really great, really powerful."
Simon
"I think that what you did cleverly, you sang the song within the limits of your vocal. Well done."
Crystal Bowersox - "Can't Always Get What You Want"
Randy said that it was not her best percformance
Ellen
“You are born to be on stage. You started adding a little more personality tonight. Just let yourself have fun on stage."
Kara
"It wasn't your greatest vocal performance. But it's easy to watch."
Simon
"You chose a song that didn't have what you needed. This was the first time when I think you were beaten by someone, Siobhan."
Based on their performances Didi, Crystal, Aaron, Siobhan, and Michael performed the best and Tim Urban  or Lacey Brown deserves to be out as soon as possible. Too bad, Lilly and Alex should be on their position now.

American Idol Farewell: The Third Batch (Lilly Scott is Out....this is not real…I wish)

I cannot describe the word to say, a word more intense than “disgusting”. I was so shocked to learn that Lilly Scott is out of the competition. I was thinking of Katie Stevens or Paige Miles. Lilly is a unique singer and I just think that she deserves to stay.
Joining Lilly in the row of the girls is Katelyn Epperly, yeah I expect her to be eliminated after her terrible performance last night.
In the gents side, Alex Lambert sings his last farewell song, too bad, I am just starting to appreciate his music. Joining Alex is Todrick Hall, honestly I want him to be out of American Idol. I don’t know. I know that he can sing but I just don’t like him, that’s it.

The Power of Voice, I mean the Boys.

Since the start of American Idol Season 9, I have this instinct in me that this season is for the girls; I guess I need to start doubting that instinct. Yesterday the Season 9’s top 8 guys performed and I was wowed by the performance of some, I repeat, just some not all.
Here’s a recap of their latest performance
1.       Lee DeWyze- “Fireflies” (Owl City)
2.       Alex Lambert- “Trouble” (Ray LaMontagne)
3.       Tim Urban- “Hallelujah” (Jeff Buckley)
4.       Andrew Garcia- “Genie in a Bottle” (Christina Aguilera)
5.       Casey James- “ You’ll Think of Me” (Keith Urban)
6.       Aaron Kelly- “ I’m Already There” (Lonestar)
7.       Todrick Hall- “Somebody to Love” (Queen)
8.       Michael Lynche – “This Woman’s Work” (Maxwell)

And based on their performances only 5 satisfied my expectations and they are:
Lee DeWyze - He’s so brave to give “fireflies” a rock rendition.
Alex Lambert - among all, this guy is the one with a lot of improvements.
Tim Urban – What can I say, I must agree with Ellen, Tim just need to find the best song that would fit his voice.
Aaron Kelly - The voice of this guys is very powerful, I disagree with Kara, though the song was not meant for a 16 year old, the song just worked out for Aaron.
Michael Lynche – Michael is no doubt the “idol-to-beat” this season.

My bottom group
Andrew Garcia
Casey James
Todrick Hall.
