I am not a writer, i am just an average guy with an average knowledge enough to come up with words, combine those words to have some phrases and scribble them to create sentences. I am an old book with faded writings, i may not look appealing anymore but still welcomes those who are willing to learn from my rich past.

Vered: The Story of Didi Benami

As a big fan of American Idol, I always make sure not to miss a single episode. There are 3 main reasons why I love to spend my time watching the show. First, I am so bored watching local shows for they are all the same, I can find nothing interesting and I have watched similar shows before. Next, I love Simon Cowell and the reason is very obvious. It’s the straightforwardness; no one can stop him from saying what he wants to say whether it’s a positive or a negative feedback, he’s prank. The last reason is Didi Benami.

From the Denver Audition to the Hollywood Week, I am already watching her; I am inspired by her story and was captivated by her voice. To those who don’t know her yet here’s a very short biography of Didi.

Vered Didi Benami

Age 23

From Hollywood, CA

Her name is Hebrew-based meaning “rose” At an early age Didi immersed herself in these different music genres;

*Jazz    *Blues    *Southern Rock   *Folk  Country   *Rnb     *Pop

Favorite Quote
“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”  By Ralph Waldo Emerson

Musical Influences
Adele, Norah Jones, Angel Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Joni Mitchell, Alana Davis, Patty Griffin, Sarah McLachlan, Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney, Jason Reeves, John Lennon.

From the note pad of Didi:

I’m learning day by day, that this thing we call life, is a CRAZY journey in which you just never know what is gonna surprise you the next day. It’s true. Life is completely random, but at least we are ALIVE. For that fact alone I am grateful. I say: live it, love it, embrace it and BY ALL MEANS go for whatever makes you happiest because we only have ONE life to live. Life is a TRUE GIFT. Most important, anything you do make sure you do it with HEART. It makes the soul happy. : )

Thank you to all the crazy-beautiful people who have been apart of my life in any way; especially my family and friends for your unconditional love and support. I am so blessed to know such incredible people and tohave the opportunity to share this life with you. I love you all from the bottom of my heart—

Peace and Love,
Vered (Didi)

Leave Right Now: American Idol’s Farewell Anthem

Life is really fast in American Idol, yesterday we were listening to Carrie Underwood’s “Home Sweet Home” as it served as Season’s 8 farewell song. As the season 9 starts to step in to the semifinals we should expect for a lot of unexpected happenings, and watch for some of our favorites leaving the center stage and go back to their normal life. Guess what this season’s elimination anthem would be, guess no more for it has been announced that Will Young’s Song entitled “Leave Right Now” is the official “idol elimination anthem”. Young is the winner of Britain’s Pop Idol first season and his song just went to number one on UK’s Singles Chart, selling 117,700 copies in just one week.

Super Junior: Invading Manila Soon

I must admit that I’m a big fan of one of Korea’s hottest boy band. You cannot blame me for loving the group. The look-they have it, the moves-they rock, and the voice-youthful, all in the entire package is totally great. So when I heard that they are coming to Manila as a part of their 2nd Asia Tour, I can’t do anything but to feel frustrated, why not? I don’t know Manila that well, I’ve been there twice but that isn’t enough to familiarize the city.
Anyway the news was confirmed by Happee Sy of PULP Live Productions, they’re the concert organizer which will bring the SUJU experience in the Philippines.
Here are some of the Details
What: Super Junior Super Show 2 Asia Concert Tour

Gates will open at 5pm, and the show will start at 7:00 pm and ends after 3 hours. So if you’re going please, please, please, it’s a once in a lifetime event considering the fact that it’s the first time that they’re visiting the Philippines, and we don’t know when will they come back.
You can contact Happee Sy on Facebook and give your personal information in this format

Election: Philippines Most Lively Carnival

Majority of us Filipinos are very fond of anticipating when it comes to special occasions. Christmas, New Year and even Birthdays, these are only  few of the celebrations where in we spend a lot of money to assure good food, good setting and of course, unique experience. Three (3) to four (4) months is the duration we allot to prepare for the upcoming event or celebration.
Which of the Celebrations takes the longest preparation? The Christmas? Enggggg! You got the wrong answer. How About the New Year? Oh no, please try again. Do you want to find out the answer? If No, stop reading here but if the answer is yes then continue reading.
Aren’t you remembering any big event happening this May? You got it correct, Its Carnival Time Again, time for the slum kids to have their television ad, time for the poor coffee harvester to be interviewed and be viewed in the national television, time for the fish vendor to be hug by a “premature celebrity “. Too bad for them, now is the time for them to be USED, and whom will benefit from their TV appearances? It’s no one but those kings and queens of the noisy and dirty palace of politics.
It takes years to prepare for an electoral candidacy, and yeah, lot money to continue the “monkey race”. This is the most anticipated and the most expensive event so far. I feel sorry for them; they are so desperate to have a big number of “visitors” to eat what they have prepared.
Who’s your bet? Or should I say, what’s your favorite color? Are you going for the yellow? Are you going for the green? Are you going for the oranges and the others? Be careful because sometimes colors are deceiving. We are being blinded by their brightness, luminance and even their saturation. I hope you guys know how to read between the lines.

Valentines Day - The Singles Way

So how does a single (like me) celebrate Valentines Day? Hmmm, that's quite difficult huh. I have browsed the web to look for the best answers and found a lot of odd answers but this one caught my attention.

Step 1

Give thanks for your former boyfriends or girlfriends. These people are the ones that made you who you are now, but don't feel tempted to call them, they are not worth it, there is a reason why they are your exes.

Step 2

Celebrate love in your life. Enjoy time spent with your loved ones and celebrate with your family and friends. Send Valentine's Day e-cards and postal cards to people you care about and spread some love and joy. Express your caring and love by remembering them at Valentine's Day. You may wish to contact someone you haven't talked to in a long time.

Step 3

Flirt. Yes flirt. Flirt with strangers or acquaintances; it will make you feel sexier.

Step 4

Don't spend the night alone. Go out with your single friends, go to dinner, go grab some cocktails or go play cards.

Step 5

Get playful- Find a child to share your love and fun with, it could be your younger sister or brother, a niece or nephew, your child, or your neighbor's child. Or, consider joining your local Big Brother/ Big Sister non-profit group so you can spend some quality time that makes a difference with your new "little brother" or "little sister" friend. Or instead of a child you can share your love with a senior citizen, go to a home and read to them or just listen to their stories.

Step 6

Get traveling- Singles don't have anything holding them back, so yes travel so start making plans to that place that you always wanted to visit, may it be New York City or a cruise in the Bahamas. Plan and take a cruise where you can enjoy yourself and meet a lot of people.

Step 7

Get involved- Donate time to non-profit groups. Pick something you are passionate about and help them out, it can be anything from helping the environment to helping out in a hospital. This will make you forget that it is Valentines and hopefully you enjoy it so much that you will make it a routine in your life.

See? who told you that Valentines Day is so boring once you are not in the so called opposite sex relationship huh? As a single there's a lot of things that you can do to make everything about you great. Make your family as your primary inspiration.

I just can't help myself from laughing about tip number 1. “Give thanks for your former boyfriends or girlfriends. These people are the ones that made you who you are now, but don't feel tempted to call them, they are not worth it, there is a reason why they are your exes.” I will not dare to so this. It’s just a waste of cellphone load because they are not worth it. LOL

Wala Akong Modu

Technology runs very fast these days. Yesterday was the glorious days of pagers and today is the domination of mobile phones. To set it straight, over 1 billion units were sold last year, this is according to IDC (Interactive Data Corporation). Nokia as expected outpace other vendors with a total of 11.1 million units and Samsung exceeded its sales target for the year.

Each cellular phone manufacturer is adding up spice on their units to grab more attention and of course grabbing more attention can be translated to the bigger possibility of profit.

The Question now is how many cellular phone brands do you know? And whom do you give your perfect 10 score? Because if you’re still undecided you can also consider the latest craze in town, the lightest phone in the world, the MODU.

Yes, you heard it right; MODU phone is touted as the world’s lightest fully-functional phone by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Modu's tiny cellphone could be inserted into multiple "jackets" to change its function. Aside from a music player, it’s also a mass storage device (with 2GB internal memory). If you looked at the keypad, it doesn’t seem to be the regular alphanumeric one we’re familiar with.
