I am not a writer, i am just an average guy with an average knowledge enough to come up with words, combine those words to have some phrases and scribble them to create sentences. I am an old book with faded writings, i may not look appealing anymore but still welcomes those who are willing to learn from my rich past.

Valentines Day - The Singles Way

So how does a single (like me) celebrate Valentines Day? Hmmm, that's quite difficult huh. I have browsed the web to look for the best answers and found a lot of odd answers but this one caught my attention.

Step 1

Give thanks for your former boyfriends or girlfriends. These people are the ones that made you who you are now, but don't feel tempted to call them, they are not worth it, there is a reason why they are your exes.

Step 2

Celebrate love in your life. Enjoy time spent with your loved ones and celebrate with your family and friends. Send Valentine's Day e-cards and postal cards to people you care about and spread some love and joy. Express your caring and love by remembering them at Valentine's Day. You may wish to contact someone you haven't talked to in a long time.

Step 3

Flirt. Yes flirt. Flirt with strangers or acquaintances; it will make you feel sexier.

Step 4

Don't spend the night alone. Go out with your single friends, go to dinner, go grab some cocktails or go play cards.

Step 5

Get playful- Find a child to share your love and fun with, it could be your younger sister or brother, a niece or nephew, your child, or your neighbor's child. Or, consider joining your local Big Brother/ Big Sister non-profit group so you can spend some quality time that makes a difference with your new "little brother" or "little sister" friend. Or instead of a child you can share your love with a senior citizen, go to a home and read to them or just listen to their stories.

Step 6

Get traveling- Singles don't have anything holding them back, so yes travel so start making plans to that place that you always wanted to visit, may it be New York City or a cruise in the Bahamas. Plan and take a cruise where you can enjoy yourself and meet a lot of people.

Step 7

Get involved- Donate time to non-profit groups. Pick something you are passionate about and help them out, it can be anything from helping the environment to helping out in a hospital. This will make you forget that it is Valentines and hopefully you enjoy it so much that you will make it a routine in your life.

See? who told you that Valentines Day is so boring once you are not in the so called opposite sex relationship huh? As a single there's a lot of things that you can do to make everything about you great. Make your family as your primary inspiration.

I just can't help myself from laughing about tip number 1. “Give thanks for your former boyfriends or girlfriends. These people are the ones that made you who you are now, but don't feel tempted to call them, they are not worth it, there is a reason why they are your exes.” I will not dare to so this. It’s just a waste of cellphone load because they are not worth it. LOL
